Mariah Bauer Mariah moved to the University of Maryland’s Office of the Senior Vice President and Provost to serve as the Director of Strategic Initiatives in May of 2016. In her role in the Provost’s office, Mariah drives and supports strategic initiatives and plans that are important to the University of Maryland, including MaGIC. Mariah has been at Maryland since 1999 and has had broad experience working at the college level in the Dean’s Office, Arts and Humanities, for a number of years; at the departmental level at the University of Maryland’s University Affiliated Research Center (UARC), the Center for Advanced Study of Language (CASL), for a decade; in the Division of Research with the Vice President for Research; and now in the Provost’s office. While working at the University of Maryland, Mariah completed both her masters and her doctoral degrees in the Department of English.
