George Chambers George Chambers is part of the Senior Executive Service (SES) and serves as the Deputy Chief Information Officer (DCIO) for Operations for the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). In his current role, he is responsible for the groups that provision network infrastructure, access management, boundary securities, end-user device engineering and refreshment, enterprise e-mail services, help desk support, as well as the upgrade and maintenance of critical data center operations and cloud-based application hosting. He also provides leadership over the on-going life-cycle operational support of shared enterprise solutions that assist federal agencies within HHS such as NIH, CDC, FDA, CMS, and IHS achieve their mission goals. Mr Chambers directs the administration of human resources systems and payroll support for over 88,000 employees. He also supports the Office of the Secretary (OS) staffing divisions and the smaller HHS operating divisions to ensure that business intelligence and reporting, data management, and collaborative workflow capabilities are enabled in a customer-focused manner.
